WWCC training gives Tyson employees keys to advance careers and technical education .

A grant from the Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges Job Skills Program facilitates a training partnership between Tyson Foods and Walla Walla Community College . The company gets trained labor and students get a state-recognized certificate from an accredited community college that they could apply to other industries or to further their education .

When the Tyson Foods plant in Wallula needed help training maintenance workers for updated technology , it turned to Walla Walla Community College .
And a grant from the Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges helped solidify a partnership creating trained workers who are poised for success amid changing industry needs .
